There are a number of recreational, shopping, and sightseeing, opportunities in the area and communities around Rolla.

The Ozark Highlands area is filled with rivers, springs, and lakes for plenty of fishing and boating.  Some of the nation's best deer and wild turkey hunting can be found here.  Or, if you simply enjoy being outside, there are numerous trails to enjoy hiking, picnics, and photography.
